Welcome to Room 3′s classroom blog. For those of you who don’t know what a blog is, it is a word that is a product of the web 2.0 phenomenon that is currently happening. The word “blog” is a combination of two words: web and log. Hence, it started as an online journal and has expanded to become used for amany different purposes.

Here you will be able to connect with what your child is doing in the classroom at anytime. You will have access to homework assignments, weekly classroom bulletins and notices of special events happening in the classroom and school. It will also display student projects and work

All of the postings will be categorized and archived for future reference. They are searchable by a variety of terms, such as topic, date, or key words. In addition, there are active weblinks that provide additional support, current study topic resources, and fun activities.

In addition to providing information it is also interaqctive. You are able to add comments that can be read by anyone accessing the site. So if there is something that you want you want to tell everyone in the classroom community, you can.

Please bear with me as this site is being developed. It is a “work in Progress”. I do believe that once the site becomes fully operational and everyone becomes familiar to how it will work it will become an incaluable resource for everyone in Room 3.
